Mission Statement

ABOUT
A creative communicator passionate about community
Throughout my life, education, and career I have always gravitated towards being creative. To be an effective creator I have learned it is important to first be curious. This leads to knowledge which opens a chance to be responsible and a choice to make good.
As an undergraduate at Biola University, I majored in Communication Studies with minors in International Relations and Theological Studies who was involved in on campus entrepreneurship. Post-undergrad, I was an independent consultant at CraftBox and a project management intern with the Work and Faith Workshop. I then went back to school at San Jose State University and received an MA in Communication Studies. I enjoy meeting passionate, wonderful people and studying different perspectives to figure out how the world works so that I can have opportunities to better equip those that are voiceless and to be a voice on behalf of the voiceless. This has led me to my most recent pursuit further my graduate studies with Regent University.

EXPERIENCES

PROJECTS

CSA X COMM 295 FACILITATION TRAINING
Develop Training and Trainer
With Asma and Iris, we conducted a needs analysis, envision and develop training objectives and tasks, then plan and deliver training. This was a collaborative effort with our COMM 295- Training and Development class and CSA (COMM Student Association). The purpose of this training is for the trainee to successfully facilitate an online discussion that cultivates an inclusive environment. This was accomplished with a 90-minute online brown-bag workshop that included a participant guide, presentation, and group activities.

Head of Careers & Professional Development
A new university-recognized student organization that was nominated for Academic/Honorary Organization of the Year by the 10th Annual Student Leadership Gala! As a part of the founding leadership team, we envision CSA, leadership team, events, and workshops to create a community around communication in a digital environment.

The core pillars: bridging the SJSU COMM studies Department and the students, academic excellence, social networking, professional development, and social justice.

MLK DAY 2021
MLK Task Force Member
"In prior years, students, staff, faculty and administration have been the primary target audience for these events. This year, they also focused on intentionally reaching out to Biola alumni to attend a session specifically designed for them."

As an alum, I with other MLK Task Force Members from various departments collaborated together to envision, develop, and host virtual MLK Day.

BIOLA 3D DESIGN CLASS
Max E
A highlight in this class was sitting with one object and changing the scale, lines, and plane. My object that I chose was a display wooden block letter "E" and favorite was the scaling by making the height almost half of a door way! Materials that was used was masking tape, newspaper, and spray paint.
